Our Goal​

5ONE Foundation aims to motivate students by helping them connect the severity of literacy and their future success at a young age. We believe the desire to want read begins with a "seed" of encouragement, motivation, and demonstration at a young age. Reading literacy will build a foundation for success in the classroom and in students' futures in college, careers, and in life.  The founders of 5ONE Foundation come from a variety of backgrounds, and they all have a different way of conveying the message that education is essential for future happiness and success.



Threat to Our Children and Society

Reading illiteracy is not only a threat to American Society, but it is REAL.  Jonathan Kozol writes in his book, "Illiterate America" that over Sixty million adult Americans cannot read a daily paper, a tax form, or the warnings on a can of pesticide.  Children are becoming victims of the digital age and No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, allows students to pass and go to the next level of education without full comprehension of content covered. 5ONE Foundation aims to change this epidemic through encouraging reading literacy at the elementary school level.
